As a daily painter Kelly paints every day. She joined the daily painting movement several years ago and says that painting every day helps her to maintain artistic discipline; it fosters creativity, improves her skills and brings her great joy.
Very much taken with subjects of everyday life from landscapes to fruit and vegetables to animals, she works in watercolor, oil, and acrylic. Working in multiple mediums keeps Kelly from being bored and gives her a great deal of flexibility in subject matter. Often painting from photos in the studio, she still loves to paint in en Plein-air whenever possible.
Kelly is a native of Georgia where she received a BS in Secondary Education from Georgia Southern College. She is currently a full-time artist. Prior to that she worked sixteen years in the non-profit world with Chambers of Commerce in Kentucky and Virginia.
Tapping into her teaching experience, Kelly teaches art to children and adults at the Blue Ridge Arts Council
in Front Royal as well as giving private lessons. She was selected in 2011 to teach an Art Residency at the elementary schools in Warren County for the 175th Anniversary Celebration.
Kelly is a firm believer in public/community service and is very active in many organizations in the community. She served on the Board of the Pennyroyal Arts Council, Hopkinsville, KY, and is past President of the Blue Ridge Arts Council Board in Front Royal, VA. Kelly is very active dog rescue groups around the country often providing them with art for fund-raising.

Jed's a happy boy!
