Home Sweet Home

I love going away for a few days but coming home to this little stinker is best. Lincoln gathered his Possums and Chick to help greet me. LOL

It’s been inspiring to see so much beautiful work. The Quilt Show was a nice break from work. Now to get home and start on some projects from the supplies we picked up.

Soo many amazing quilts to see. Going back for more today at the Quilt Show in Hampton Roads.

The kids painted a lemon in class yesterday. Amazing! Nice work. Kids meet to paint each Wednesday from 4:15-5:15. Contact kwalker@kellywalkerstudios.com to sign up your young painter.

3D Quilt Blocks

Just completed this quilt last night…..3D Blocks. I love the illusion of the blocks floating over the quilt. Cool!!!! This is another Quilt as You Go so I quilted it on a domestic machine. Easy Peasy!

It’s so much fun to get a group of friends together to enjoy good food, drinks and painting. Nice work everyone. Thanks Bonnie for putting together such a terrific group!

We love it when we get new students at The Studio. Joanne started painting with us this past week. She was excited to start a new hobby that she has been wanting to try for some time. Nice work. If you are interested in painting with us, contact kwalker@kellywalkerstudios.com to see if there is space in our classes for you!

We had a wonderful group for a private pet portrait session yesterday morning. Martha gave her friends the party as a Christmas gift. It was a terrific one! Everyone did a great job painting their beautiful dogs.

Our Homeschool class finished up a painting they started at the last session of the red cabin in the snow and then did a little folk art painting on a wooden shingle. We like exploring different types of art. Great job everyone!

At The Studio Kid’s classes we explore different types of arts as well as different mediums and supports. This week the kids in Wednesday’s class painted these folk art scenes on old wooden shingles. It was fun and they look great!
