Our Beach themed Art Camp continued on Tuesday with the kids chooseing to paint their flip flops in a variety of colors. Aren’t they GREAT???!!!

We had such a crazy day at The Studio yesterday. We started with a BIG art camp group painting Red Beach chairs to start off our Beach Week. Then we had two large groups of painters come to paint an ocean scene from Like Arrows Learning Center. Thank goodness I had Kelly P. to help me with them because all in all we had 43 painters! That’s a big day for us.

Our art campers finished their Beach themed session with these great flip flop paintings. Nice work!!!

Yesterday our young Art Campers painted dolphins. Didn’t they do a great job???!!! They are a very enthusiastic group. Wait till you see what they are going to do today!

Yesterday afternoon Little Angels Daycare came to The Studio to paint. They did an amazing job painting a dolphin jumping out of the ocean. Nice work!

The Studio is closed today through next Tuesday in observance of Independence Day. We are taking a little time off to recharge and visit with family. We’ll be back on our regular schedule next Wednesday. In the meantime, have a great long Holiday weekend and remember the real reason we celebrate this day and read (or reread) the Declaration of Independence. You can see it here.

Just put together this cute baby quilt using an ABC panel for my friend, Leah. It’s for her first grandbaby. I love keeping panels in my stash for quick gifts needs that pop up.

This week I have been working on some simple quilt designs for our upcoming Sewing Camp. In this session the kids will be making a traditional quilt instead of the Rag Quilts that we have made in the past. It will be lots of fun and informative. If you have a young person ages 8 -16 that is interested in learning to sew and/or quilt be sure to check out this session of Sewing Camp here.

Help me wish my baby sister a Happy 60th Birthday. Have a terrific day and great special birthday year, Sister!

Pat and Janet are making great progress on their Row Quilts. Yesterday they worked on a Sawtooth Variation. They look great! I can’t wait to see these quilts put together. They are going to be fabulous!
