I recently ran across an old card that was stamped with flowers like these. I loved the overlapped look and thought they would look good on canvas. This painting is 20″x20″….but I think it would work any size…and any color!

We made AMAZING Stacked Garden Poles yesterday.  So many terrific themes…Poodles, Frog, Books, Sunflower, Dog, and Chicken. I can’t wait to see them in everyone’s yards.  Hopefully we’ll get photos that I can share here.   We have another class coming up if you are interested, click here.

On my drive back home today from a short trip to North Carolina I came through some backroads and ran across a few tobacco fields….and tobacco barns.  As I grew up working on tobacco farms as a kid I was interested to see these.  I got a few photos.  I’ve been wanting to do a painting of a tobacco barn.  Maybe this will get me started.

And I was interested to look up the Tobacco Barns Project.  They are trying to save some of the old barns.  See about that here.
