Yesterday we had so much fun working with the Humane Society of Warren County dog team staff creating a beautiful work of art that they will hang in their shelter. The team building exercise had them painting 9 canvases that will be connected and delivered to them soon. They did a marvelous job on this fun painting of pups! Great work everyone. Remember that we did this exercise with the cat staff a few years ago. You can see that painting here.

This winter we had a couple of Paint Parties where we painted large abstract canvases. It was fun! Take a look here and here. So last night we had a great Paint Party where we painted small. These ladies did a great job on these little works of art.

We painted Pet Portraits at The Studio yesterday afternoon and everyone did a FABULOUS job. Pet Portraits are my favorite thing that we do. I love seeing everyone’s pets and hearing their stories.

On Wednesday and Thursday at the Kid’s Classes we painted a version of the tobacco barn that I saw on the way home from vacation on Tuesday. The kids did a GREAT job!

Every week I post photos of the kid’s art work from classes but I don’t always get photos of the work that adults are doing. We have classes for adults on Wednesday from 10:30-Noon or 5:30-7 pm or on Thursday from 2-3:30 pm. These classes for all level of painters….we start where you are whether you are an absolute beginner or and intermediate student. Everyone chooses what they want to paint and we work together until it’s complete. I love seeing the variety of subjects people choose. On the last day of a short vacation we drove home through the farmland of North Carolina where we saw many beautiful things to paint including an old Tobacco Barn, a Tobacco Planter, a Strawberry Patch and much more. And of course, we ate Boiled Peanuts! It was a fun trip home.
