Bare Winter Tree

Winter Tree for Season Series Just worked up this “Winter Tree” to go with the Fall ones that we painted last month.  Some of us are doing the whole “Four Seasons” set of these over the next few months.  We will do this one at a Paint Party in February.

Sunday-Afternoon-on-the-Island-of-la-Grande-Jatte--1886Georges Seurat was born on this day in 1859. He was a French painter and draftsman. His large work “Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte” is  his most famous painting and it changed the direction of modern art by initiating Neo-impressionism and a style of painting called Pointillism.  You can learn more about Seurat and his works here.

It’s a Mermaid Tail!  All it needs is a little girl to bring it to life.

We have been seeing all sorts of mermaid and shark tails lately crocheted as “lap throws” for both kids and adults.  So here is a  mermaid version I worked up with a shell stitch to help it look like scales.  I don’t have a girl to pose with it but you get the idea.  SOLD!
