We had a fun Pet Portrait Paint Party yesterday with wonderful portraits created. I can share a few with you today but others will have to wait until after Christmas as they are going to be wonderful presents for friends and family.
Everyone did fabulous work. Martin was painted twice by this sweet girl and her mom. They did great paintings. And Rebecca and Vivian did beautiful paintings of their sweet kitties.

Last night I took a class at The Studio (instead of teaching one!) and we made a Sock Monkey.
He is so cute. Sandra Charles taught us and boy is she good.
Thanks Sandra for being so patient and making it so much fun! I can’t wait to try it again…this time it will be a “Sock Puppy”!

The Humane Society of Warren County does a wonderful job finding homes for so many homeless pets. The Studio is offering a gift wrapping service today from 9-1 and next Tuesday from 9-3 to benefit them. Bring your Christmas presents to The Studio at 105 E Main Street, Front Royal and we will wrap them for you for a donation to the Humane Society.

Wednesday the Kids Art Class painted their version of the winter evergreen trees. SUPER!
And at Thursday Adult Class we had two new students join us – Sisters! Great work girls. Look forward to painting with you again soon.

The man who punched a hole through Claude Monet’s “Argenteuil Basin with a Single Sailboat (1874) worth $10 million, Andrew Shannon, has been sentenced to five years in prison and banned from going to galleries upon his release.
The attack took place at the National Gallery of Ireland, in Dublin, in June 2012, where Shannon attacked a Monet painting. He claimed he fainted. Yeah, right! Read more about this nut here.
