Cows at Home in the Valley is an oil on canvas panel measuring 9″x12″ and is available for $175. I really enjoy painting scenes with our mountains in the background. We are so lucky to live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Scenery here is amazing!

I started working on this little guy last week while working at Delilah’s, an artist co-op in downtown Front Royal. I often paint while working there on the weekends. People seem to enjoy watching a painting come to life.

While I don’t have a new Farm Animal finished for today’s post I do have food that a little farm animal might eat….lettuce!
This is the beginning of a lesson we did in art class a few weeks ago.
It took a couple of weeks of lessons for me to complete this one because I often start a piece and help others get their painting started and don’t get back to mine. I did finish it in between other projects though and here is the way it turned out.
Farm Animal Collection

I was asked what I do with all the paintings I create. Well, for example, with the Farm Animal series, I let them dry a little and then I frame and hang them up to completely dry. Next I’ll take them to Delilah’s, my gallery in Front Royal, and exhibit them for sale. And of course, any of my paintings are available through the blog by just contacting me.
The Farm Animal grouping is a really cute display….but the animals are so cute, it’s hard to go wrong!

I love painting these little goats. They are just so expressive. This is another of Suzanne McMinn’s little guys. If you haven’t checked out her blog yet go to www.chickensintheroad.com for some terrific fun about life on her farm.
