The kids are at Art Camp this week with them theme: “Nature-Flowers and Trees”. And just look at the amzing tree they painted with beautiful lavender flowers. Nice work all around. Can’t wait to see what else they do this week.

A new session of Art Camp started yesterday and our theme is “For the Love of Animals”. And since yesterday was Lincoln’s adoption day we decided to paint him! Look at the beautiful works these young artists did in just two hour? Aren’t they fabulous???!!! We love them….and I think Lincoln enjoyed the attention! Our Art Campers did such a great job listening this week that we had time to add an extra painting into the mix. We did Van Gogh’s boots (and did you hear about the new Van Gogh portrait just discovered on the back of another painting?) and Monet’s Studio Boat. Didn’t they do a great job on both?! One of our all-time favorites- Blue Dog! These kids did a great job painting theirs. Awesome. Camp ends today with at least one more painting…..maybe two. Watch for it tomorrow.

Yesterday we had Day 2 of Famous Painters Art Camp and we recreated Rene Magritte’s self-portrait, Son of Man. This is the first time we attempted this one at camp and didn’t they do an awesome job on it! Great work painters! We still have three sessions of camp left this summer along with one session of Sewing Camp so be sure to register your young painter for this fun experience. A few years ago we added a session of “Sewing Camp” to our summer art camp series. It was popular right away. You can see these amazing rag quilts that these young people made during Sewing Camp. This year we added another session on August 1-2 and the morning session sold out! Wow! We were asked to add another session so more kids can learn to use a sewing machine so we did. The second session will also meet on August 1-2 in the afternoon. If you have a young person ages 8-16 that would like to learn to sew be sure to click here and register them as space is limited.

Art Camp Sea Painting

These young painters created beautiful “Sea” paintings as part of our “Land and Sea” themed paintings for Art Camp. They did a great job. These 5-7 year olds did such good work these past two days. They were great listeners and wanted to paint rather than take a break! And notice Lincoln feels well enough to have his photo made with these kids. Yeah! There is space in a couple of sessions of Art Camp before the summer ends so check out the dates and themes here.

These young (ages 5-7) kids did a terrific job painting this little farm as part of our “Land and Sea” Art Camp yesterday. Great work!!!! They’ll be back today to create another fabulous work of art.
