There were also a variety of String Quilts that were gifts for Christmas. These are so much fun to make especially as a Quilt as you Go. Every one turns out different even though the process is the same. I LOVE THESE!

At the same time I found the “Georgia State” fabric (see info here) I picked up some Virginia State fabric to make a quilt for my Virginia family members for Christmas. It made a great patchwork quilt.

For the last few months I have worked on quilts for Christmas gifts. Even though I live in Virginia now I will always be a Georgia girl and while shopping at Joann’s Fabrics I saw this “Georgia State” fabric. I asked the clerk why they had Georgia fabric in Virginia and she said she suspected that some store in Georgia must have a shipment of Virginia fabric. LOL! I bought enough to make quilts for several family members back home. They all liked them. I loved the fabric designs with peaches, flip flops and outlines of the state. Take a close look.
