These will be treasures year after year as they bring them out to decorate for each month. What a great job everyone did and my how we all improved as we stretched our skills. Nice work ladies. Y’all have been so much fun to work with….just a delight! I can’t wait till we start our next monthly projects. We had a great quilt workshop at The Studio Friday evening and Saturday. These quilters got a great start on their Flying Flag quilts. They went home with some homework and will return in a few weeks to complete their quilts. Can’t wait to see how they turn out. Great work everyone. We even had two new to quilting enthusiastic students. We’re always excited to introduce new people to quilting. If you have ever wanted to learn to quilt be sure to check out upcoming classes at The Studio and join us.

The Ribbon Quilt is back from the longarmer. Wendy did a fantastic job on it. She always makes my quilt tops looks so good! I love this little quilt because I really like the fabric…Mercantile by Lori Holt for Riley Blake. I made the top at the retreat I attended in Pennsylvannia in March and just got it back and put the binding on it. I have quite a bit more of this fabric as I had a large fat quarter bundle so I can’t wait to make something else with it. (Here is the original post about the quilt.)

Last week I shared that I had started a third quilt top while at the retreat in Pennsylvannia and that I was working on my 1961 Featherweight. (Read about it here.) When I got home I set the little machine up and continued to piece the Baltimore Square quilt top. I was enamored with this pattern. I’m not sure why but ever since I saw it I wanted to give it a try. So I finished the top a few days ago. I love that I did it on that sweet little Featherweight. And of course, Lincoln helped! I’ll send this one out to a longarm quilter soon and when it is finally completed I will share the final result. Oh, and yeah, there is over 2800 little 1 1/2″ (finished size) blocks in this quilt. 🙂
