We had a great Famous Painter session yesterday at The Studio as we recreated Gauguin’s Still Life with Oranges. It was a challenge but everyone was up to it. At Art Camp yesterday our great young painters recreated Paul Gauguin’s “Tahitian Landscape”.  And what beautiful recreations they made!  Just take a look.  They are terrific.  And we do get a little paint on us when we work, don’t we Sloan?  LOL

Today we celebrate the birthday of Eugène Henri Paul Gauguin  (7 June 1848 – 8 May 1903)  considered one of the most well-known Post-Impressionist painters. His bold, colorful and design oriented paintings significantly influenced Modern art.
