Yesterday at The Studio our Famous Painter session had us painting Degas Dancers. This one had us stretching our painting muscles as we recreated this beautiful painting. Everyone did great! We had a great Famous Painter session yesterday at The Studio as we recreated Gauguin’s Still Life with Oranges. It was a challenge but everyone was up to it. What a challenge yesterday afternoon as we painted Lieberman’s “Woman with Goats on the Dune”. Everyone did a teriffic job but it gave us something to really work at! You all did GREAT!!!! We love a challenge. Watch for the next Famous Painter session coming up in January.

We recreated the Dutch painter, Jan Mankes, Wyandotte (Rooster) with a Tin Plate from 1913 yesterday at our Famous Painter Class. We had an enthusiastic group and they all did an amazing job with their paintings. Fabulous work everyone! Our next Famous Painter session will be Sunday, November 10th. Watch for what we will recreate. It’s coming soon.

Yesterday we started holding our “Famous Painters” class again at The Studio and it was a big success as these painters and a few more created these gorgeous Sunflower paintings after Van Gogh’s Three Sunflowers. Last night we had an enthusiastic group recreating Van Gogh’s Wild Roses at our Famous Painter night. They are beautiful! And we have one more…..when Debbie finishes hers we’ll share it! 🙂 Our next Famous Painter night will be Tuesday, September 28th. Mark your calendar because this one has a special story. Did you know that once a month at The Studio we feature “Famous Painter Nights”. This is where we recreate a famous painting and talk about the artist. This month we are featuring Van Gogh’s Wild Roses. Anyone can do this and by recreating a famous work of art you learn so much about color mixing and design. Why not join us?
