Archive for January, 2011

No new paintings today.  I spent part of the weekend recovering from food poisoning.  NO FUN!  We were out at the cabin so I have cute puppy pictures to post.  For some reason Lincoln kept sticking his face down in the ditch where the snow was deep.  Not sure what he was after but he ended up with snowface!

I finally remembered to take my camera to class and get some photos of things we have been painting in the kids classes.  These are the cardinals that I did last week for the Wed. and Thurs. classes.  The kids really seem to enjoy painting animals.  If you have a student 8 – 12 years old that would like to paint with us, email me at kwalker@doubledogdesigns  to sign them up for a class.  I know they will have fun.

Last week I posted about the cupcake hat that I made at the request of a friend.  Here it is on it’s new owner.  Doesn’t Lara look cute in it?  Love it!  Click here to see the original post about the hat:  https://lifeofadailypainter.com/2011/01/06/the-cupcake-hat/

I also got photos from my cousin Linda of her new hat and the one she gave her mom, Aunt Myrtice.  They look great in their new hats.  Don’t you agree?

Look at what a great job the Wednesday afternoon art class did with their cardinals.  Thursday class also painted cardinals but I forgot my camera last night.  😦  Next week I’ll remember it so I can show off the Thursday students too.

Good job everybody!

While I didn’t paint much over my vacation I did do quite a bit of crocheting.  Here are the hats that I made that will be available at Delilah’s should you need a warm, fashionable hat during this cold weather.  It’s very satisfying to put colors and textures together to come up with new hats.

Tomorrow, a special order cupcake hat.  🙂
