On the last day of a short vacation we drove home through the farmland of North Carolina where we saw many beautiful things to paint including an old Tobacco Barn, a Tobacco Planter, a Strawberry Patch and much more. And of course, we ate Boiled Peanuts! It was a fun trip home.

One of the most wonderful parts of my visit to Florida this weekend has been the gorgeous fresh fruit and vegetables.
Not only are they delicious but I have been able to add some interesting reference photos to my file for painting in the future.
But we didn’t always eat healthy. We got in a little munchy bar food down by the beach while soaking up some rays and listening to some really good beach music.

Tuesday at The Southerlands is always delightful because I get to paint with some lovely ladies. Yesterday Miss Gaylor and Miss Eyeleen completed these paintings. They both just started painting in the last few months. Aren’t they doing great? And the best part is they are having fun painting!

Miss Gaylor is one of my oldest students. She paints with me each week at The Southerlands. And she prefers painting strawberries if at all possible. This past Tuesday she painted these.
