Just completed the blocks for Red Poppy, Yellow Poppy. Now to get it together and put the border on it and off to the long-armer it will go. But that will have to wait because we are off to the Quilt Show in Pennsylvania today to get more great ideas and supplies. We’ll share more about that in the next few days.

The kids painted Georgia O’Keeffe’s Red Poppy at Art Camp yesterday. Didn’t they do an AMAZING job? Great work everyone. Just wait to see what they do next.

Grandmother’s Birthday Party with Poppies
This weekend we had three super Paint Parties at The Studio.
The first was a Birthday Paint Party for a Grandmother. The family had loads of fun creating the O’Keeffe Poppy that she reqested.
The next was our 3rd Saturday Pet Portrait Paint Party. They all turned out so nice. A few we didn’t photograph as we have some people painting gifts for the season.

And the last was the Fall Tree Paint Party. We had a large group for this one and they created some beautiful art.

I had an unplanned art lesson on Friday during the Open Studio session at The Studio. My friend, Phil, with Caledonia Bed & Breakfast sent some guests over to paint. This mother and daughter were delightful. We had a nice visit while Hannah painted this marvelous little painting. I hope to see them again when they are visiting our area. Thanks Phil for thinking of The Studio as a destination for these two.
