I brought my Garden Princess in for a make-over. She’s looking better. (You can read about her creation here.) I didn’t take her in over the winter so she was a little worn but now she’s good as new. And since we have an upcoming workshop for making these cuties I wanted her to look her best. Why don’t you join us on Saturday, June 22nd at 2 pm to make one for your flower or vegetable garden. They add a splash of color and whimsey to every garden. Click here to learn more and register.

Last week I let my friend Sandra get me into another project. LOL (You might remember Sandra as the one with whom I sewed the cussing jacket. See it here.)
Now we have made Garden Princesses. Sandra’s book called them scarecrows but I didn’t think they were scary at all.
I love how they turned out. They are cut out of plywood and painted with acrylics and embellished with tin. They are treated for outdoor use.
Thanks Sandra for getting me into this one. I love my princess and she is working in the garden right now. Can’t wait for our next project!
