
Tuesday evening we had Famous Painter Night at The Studio and recreated Franz Marc’s “Dog Sleeping in Snow” from 1910. Everyone did a great job tackling this expressive, cubist painting. My good friend Wilma has been taking a few private lessons lately and she just completed this beautiful copy of one of Georgia O’Keeffe’s Red Poppies. Isn’t it great?! Nice work Wilma!!!
We had a lot of fun channeling our inner Van Gogh on Tuesday as we recreated “Oleanders and Books” from 1888. Very nice work from everyone. Join us for the next one on Tuesday, April 23rd for Monet’s Yellow Irises.
At last night’s Famous Painter session we recreated Monet’s Water Lilies and Agapanthus from 1914-17…and everyone did a great job! Amazing!!! Next month’s Famous Painter night feature Van Gogh.

We had a great time last night at the Famous Painter party recreating Georges Seurat “Woman with Monkey”. This was a study that he did for the much larger painting, Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte (1884-86).
As much as I despise starting with the Christmas “stuff” already, it is something we have to do to prepare for parties with a Christmas theme.
