From time to time I get requests for private lessons when grandchildren are here visiting their grandparents in the local community. That happened yesterday when I got to work with Emma and Zoe. They are in from New York spending time in the area and their grandmother hooked them up with an art lesson. They did great!

This past weekend we had the opportunity to work with a couple celebrating their 10 anniversary. They chose to try something new….painting as a treat to each other. What a great way to celebrate! When Alannah came to Art Camp this summer she fell in love with my Tulip Palette Knife painting. She wanted to buy it for her room but instead we talked her into taking a lesson to do one of her own. And she did an excellent job yesterday painting with a palette knife for the first time. Great work girl!

I enjoyed the private lesson with my private students yesterday as they painted similar paintings. Sophia painted her book still life with an apple and Joey painted his with a baseball. Nice job!!!

Sophia asked to paint a snake at her lesson this week. We did! But I told her it is the first and LAST time for snakes at The Studio. ICK!
