Last week Jackie suggested that a winter scene similar to the Harvest Moon painting would be nice. So she set out to start one. She was kind enough to share the idea so we call all so it soon. And we like the idea so much we are going to make it a Four Seasons series. The Winter painting will be coming up on Saturday, January 4th at 2 pm. Register here so you don’t miss it.

Dianne and I worked on her mural a few more hours today. You’ll remember the right section….Fall…from a week or so ago. Today we added the Winter scene. It is about 70% finished. We need to add more snow to the trees and a few more limbs. And we plan to add a cardinal in the tree. But because of travel plans we won’t be able to do more for a few weeks so we’ll show you more as we get it done. At this rate we may have it done for her Thanksgiving dinner.

I worked on a sample painting for an upcoming private party. They asked for a simple winter night scene. We are thinking we may add either a small cardinal or lights in the bare tree. Did you know you can set up a private paint party for you and your friends? It’s a great way to celebrate the holiday or have a party. Yesterday was a super busy day at The Studio. We have 3 regular weekly art classes on Wednesdays but yesterday we had two groups of painters from Front Royal Christian School come to The Studio on a field trip. They were very excited to paint with us. Great work everyone.
