Karen's Surprise Birthday Party!
We’ll provide everything you need for each class: aprons, paint, canvas, brushes, corkscrew, cups, and all other painting supplies. You bring your own bottle of wine or your favorite beverage of choice and snacks to munch on as well.
You’ll follow along with an experienced and enthusiastic artist who will give you stroke-by-stroke instructions as you create your painting. You go home with your personal masterpiece and a newfound talent to explore…along with lots of great memories to share!
Paint parties are an 1 hour to 1-1/2 hours long depending on the subject matter. These parties are perfect for birthday parties, bachelorette parties, date night, mother/daughter parties, red hat society, church groups, book clubs, fundraisers, girl or boy scouts or any other groups looking for fun.

Where are the classes held?
Classes are held at Blue Ridge Arts Council,305 East Main Street, Front Royal, VA
What do I wear?
Please wear something comfortable that you don’t mind getting paint on. We will provide aprons, but the aprons don’t cover completely!
Will my painting be dry by the end of the night?
Yes, your painting will be dry. We will be using acrylic paint and it dries quickly.
I have never painted before. Should I come?
Absolutely! This is for fun and to help you explore something you may not have tried before. Chances are very good that there will be others in the room who have not painted before either! This is not a test, you will not be judged. Remember it’s a ”Party”. There will be step by step instruction and plenty of room for your own creativity too. We really want to provide a relaxed, creative environment where you can relieve some stress, experiment with paint and have FUN! And in the process possibly discover a hidden talent!
Can I bring food?
Please do! This is a party! Bring a bottle or glass of your favorite beverage whether its wine, beer, or soft drinks. We have corkscrews and glasses .
Do you accept Credit Cards?
Yes, we take Visa, MasterCard and Discover and American Express as well as cash and checks.
What is the cancellation policy?
We know that things come up sometimes and you won’t be able to make it. Please call 48 hours before class time to cancel. No shows will be charged $35.00.
How do I book a Paint Party?
All you need is a group of people interested in having fun. In order to book your party you must reserve them by purchasing in advance. Contact Kelly at kwalker@doubledogdesigns.com or call 540-683-9688.
How much does a Paint Party cost?
Paint Party classes are $150.00 for up to 6 painters and include all the supplies you need to create your masterpiece. Additional painters are $20 each.
What time do I need to arrive for a the party?
We will be open 30 minutes before class starts so everyone can check in, put on an apron, grab a beverage and we can start painting on time.
What if I have a big group?
We can accommodate group up to 12. If you have a larger group just let us know and we will make every effort to paint with the larger group. Also note the cancellation policy of 72 hours for groups over 10.
How old do you have to be to attend Paint Party?
At least 16 years old for adult parties. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is also painting. Anyone bringing alcohol must be at least 21 years of age. We also offer kids parties for ages 6-15. These make great birthday party events!
What paint supplies do I need to bring and what do I wear?
We supply all your painting materials and an apron to wear. Acrylic paint does not always come out of clothing so you may want to wear something old and comfortable.
When do I get to take my painting home?
At the end of class! You take your creation home with you to enjoy. (Frames are not included in the price, however, some frames may be available.)
